10 Easter Spring Bucket List Ideas for Dog Owners
This post shows you the Easter Spring Bucket List for Dog Owners.

Why not make this Easter special for your dog with some Easter spring bucket list items that you’ll both enjoy?!
Spring is definitely the most exciting season when everything is in bloom, and we can finally spend more time outdoors, letting our dogs tag along and enjoy the fresh air.
In this post, I’ll share 10 Easter bucket list items that you can do with your dog and your family to get more exercise, vitamin D, fresh air, and Easter joy!

1 Easter Dog Egg Hunt
A dog-friendly Easter egg hunt is a fun way to celebrate the season while giving your dog mental and physical exercise.
You can organize a simple Easter dog egg hunt yourself, but basically, it comes down to this:
Don’t forget to use their favorite treats to keep them engaged.
To make it special, invite friends with dogs and turn it into a group event. Add dog-friendly Easter baskets with toys and healthy snacks as prizes.

2 Short Trip to Nature

Spring is ideal for a nature getaway, and dogs love exploring new environments.
Depending on where you live, you can plan to go to beaches, forests, or hiking trails.
Just check where dogs are allowed. Where I live, most parks and beaches are dog-friendly, but some nature reserves are not, as endangered species live there, and dogs would stress them out!
Pack essentials like water and treats, as well as waste bags, and make sure your dog wears a harness or collar.
To make it special, pack some food and organize a real picnic somewhere nice with dog-safe snacks, and enjoy your adventure!
3 Go for the Longest Walk in Your City
As a city girl, I absolutely love these special long walks where we go out and about to explore the city!
I know by heart the streets with the widest sidewalks, where I can get a strawberry iced latte and fresh cold water for my dog, the first park where we can play with other dogs, and then the city center, where we can window shop, sniff other dogs, and take a longer break under the beautiful oak trees.
You should either choose a scenic route that includes parks and riverside paths or a nice city route through quiet neighborhoods.
Make it special by stopping at a pet-friendly café or Starbucks for a puppachino, or find a shop that sells dog-friendly ice cream.
If your dog enjoys socializing, invite a friend and their dog for company. End the walk with a well-deserved nap and a special meal to recharge.
4 Play Fetch in Your Favorite Park

If this is what you usually do, then to make it special, you can invite your favorite dog friends and their dog parents and spend a whole day outside playing fetch and soaking in the sun!
Playing fetch is a perfect addition to your Easter spring bucket list because it keeps your dog active while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
Choose an open area with enough space where you can run safely, and bring different types of toys like tennis balls and frisbees.
You can also bring a blanket and enjoy some quiet time together with a cold drink!
A few weeks ago, I saw someone building a “help yourself shelf” with dog toys in my local park. The man filled a shelf with dog toys like rubber balls so people could borrow them, play with their dogs, and return them to the next person. How awesome is that?! Maybe this is something you can add to your list!
5 Visit a Dog Show
If you’re working through your Easter spring bucket list, why not add a visit to a dog show?
I don’t really go to professional and competitive dog shows, but I love local charity ones. They are usually organized as a mini fundraiser and always for a good cause.
For Christmas, there was a dog show for ugly Christmas sweaters—but for dogs! Maybe there’s something similar during Easter?
6 Easter Dog Photoshoot
A photoshoot is a must-have on your Easter spring bucket list—it’s fun, creative, and captures the best spring memories with your dog.
You can do this at home, but it’s even better if you do it outdoors in your park or backyard. Bring props, flowers, Easter eggs, and bunny ears, and put your dog in silly and fun Easter outfits!
Just remember—if they don’t like wearing things, you can focus on props and flowers instead!
You can bring your whole family and take family Easter portraits!

7 Easter Picnic With Your Dog

This is my favorite activity, as I adore picnics and love sitting on the ground at the same level as Ricco. It helps me see the world from his perspective, and I love packing and prepping snacks, sandwiches, and fruit!
An Easter picnic is a perfect way to check off another item from your Easter spring bucket list while spending quality time outdoors with your dog.
When we have picnics together, we share everything with him, so I bring fresh veggies, simple sandwiches, fruit, lots of toys, and fresh water.
He stays on the leash, as we like to visit a nice big park where dogs are allowed but must stay leashed. So I bring my Flexi (the most durable type of retractable lead ever!). It’s 5m long, so Ricco has enough room to wander around while I keep him safe and watch out for other dogs and children.
8 Get Crafty at Home
If the weather isn’t ideal, get creative indoors with spring-themed crafts.
If you’re decorating Easter eggs, let your dog participate by leaving colorful paw prints!
Adding a crafting session to your Easter Spring Bucket List is a great way to bond with your dog and make something fun together.
Sometimes people say, “But he’s just a dog; he won’t remember special activities,” but let me tell you something—I will, and I do remember. I love him so much that making these special playdates makes my day. I love involving him in arts and crafts and doing something fun at home!
9 Prep a High-Protein Bowl
After an active spring day, make a high-protein meal with fresh, simple ingredients.
If you’re not sure where to start, this guide on The Best Protein Sources for Dogs will make it super easy!
Basically, you need lean meat, some yogurt, and small portions of healthy grains and veggies to balance it all out.
A nutritious homemade meal is the perfect way to wrap up your Easter spring bucket list, making sure your dog is rewarded for all the fun they’ve had!
Serve the meal in their special bowl, and celebrate an amazing day outdoors!
