Homemade Strawberry Dog Ice Cream (No Peanut Butter)

A simple homemade strawberry dog ice cream recipe, perfect for hot summer days!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Freezing 4 hours
Total Time 4 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 4
Course: Frozen Dog Treat
Cuisine: Dog Treat

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen strawberries about 5 large strawberries
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • ½ banana sliced

Method

  1. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut them into tiny pieces. If you're using frozen strawberries, let them thaw for a few minutes so you can cut them or mash them.
  2. Mash the banana (it's easier if you slice it first), and then add Greek yogurt. Mix everything with a fork.
  3. Add the strawberries and mix everything until smooth. You can add everything to a blender, but we prefer to actually chew on strawberries as they feel so fine!
  4. Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours.
  6. Pop-out a treat or two and serve to your dog when it's time for something cool!

Notes

If you don’t have strawberries, you can use blueberries or raspberries for this recipe! They are all perfectly safe for dogs and full of good nutrients!
